Thrush is caused by a yeast (fungus) called Candida which lives harmlessly in the vagina and other parts of the body, without even noticing it. However, if the natural pH balance that keeps Candida under control is altered, the level of yeast increases and can develop into a thrush infection.
Canesten Oral Capsule contains the active substance fluconazole, an antifungal agent which fights the cause of infections such as thrush.
Directions
Swallowed the capsule whole with a glass of water (with or without food). The symptoms of thrush should disappear within two days of treatment.
If no improvement is seen after seven days, speak to a doctor. If the infection returns after seven days another capsule may be taken but if more than two infections occur within six months speak to a doctor.
