Dulcoease Stool Softener

- Has a dual action effect whereby stools are softened and the bowel is stimulated to help promote a bowel movement
- Suitable to treat chronic constipation.*
- Soft gel capsule format that helps to provide relief in 1-2 days.
- Contains docusate sodium.

- Softening relief from painful hard dry stools
- This product generally produces a bowel movement in 1-2 days

Dose

Please read enclosed leaflet carefully before use.

• Swallow each capsule whole with water
• Start with 1 capsule 3 times a day
• Then take more (1 capsule up to 5 times a day) or less if you need to
• You should feel more comfortable within 1-2 days
• Do not give to children under 12 years

Warnings:

- Talk to your pharmacist or doctor if you need to take laxatives every day, or if you have stomach pain which does not go away.
- Do not take if you have an intestinal obstruction, stomach pains, feel sick or have been sick in the last 24 hours.
- Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
- Do not store above 25oC.
- Store in the original package in order to protect from moisture.

Pregnancy

Docusate is occasionally used in pregnancy and there is no evidence to suggest it will harm your baby. However, other types of laxative are usually tried first, because there is more information to say that they are safe.
