Hydrocoll Bandage Sacral Wound Dressing

Hydrocoll is a self-adhesive, absorbent hydrocolloid dressing, laminated with a semipermeable, but germ-proof and water-tight polyurethane film. When absorbed by wound secretions through the hydrocolloid portions of the dressing, these swell up and pass into a gel which expands into the wound and keeps it moist. The gel is thereby absorbed until the hydrocolloids are saturated.
